This service builds on SPGCI’s hourly price forecasting approach, incorporating the price sensitivity of new forms of demand (e.g., EVs, electrolysis and heat pumps) and supply (e.g., batteries, hydrogen burning plants, carbon capture and storage). The service also brings together SPGCI’s insights on fuel and carbon price trajectories through 2050, which allows customers to view a holistic story of Europe’s road to decarbonization and understand the key drivers for power prices.
The service will also provide scenarios around the main reference case which will allow clients to assess main price risks around key parameters, such as different commodity price inputs or changing policy and technology assumptions.
The forecasts are updated on a quarterly basis.
